On 18 August 2022, H.E. Mr. Ouch Borith, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Standing Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received a courtesy call by His Excellency Alex Geiger, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chile, at the Ministry, after His Excellency Ambassador presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM Sihamoni, King of Cambodia. 

Both sides exchanged views on the long-standing diplomatic relationship and explore the opportunity to boost trade and tourism between the two countries. Ambassador of Chile also praised Cambodia for its economic development and the growth of infrastructure and cities.
