Closing Ceremony of the Training Course on “Culinary Diplomacy” ( 22 December 2022 )


On 22 December 2022, H.E. Dr. NHIM Khemara, Secretary of State and Head of the Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Group (EDCG), high representative of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presided over the closing ceremony of the training course on “Culinary Diplomacy” at the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) in the presence of spouses of the newly appointed ambassadors and chefs at the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia abroad.

In line with the Economic Diplomacy Strategy (EDS) 2021-2023, the course lasted for two weeks, focusing on Cambodian culture,​ tourism and diplomatic protocol etiquette. The highlight of the training course was a cooking class from Mr. Luu Meng, President of the Tourism Federation, on the recipes of Num Banh Chok Kampot, Samlar Karkor, Prahok Ktis, Fish Amok and other dishes featuring in the Taste of Angkor – an award-winning cookbook from Gourmand Cookbook Awards in two categories: “Best Asian Cuisine Book” for two consecutive years and “Heads of State/Food”.
