On the morning of 22 March 2023, as Representative of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Secretary of State CHHIV Yiseang received a courtesy call by Mr. Edgar Doerig who took office as Representative of the International Organization of Francophonie for the Asia-Pacific region (REPAP), based in Hanoi, in mid-March 2023.

On this occasion, the two diplomats had a fruitful discussion on many important topics related to the strengthening of the cooperation between Cambodia and REPAP and the implementation of ongoing projects, including within the framework of the Network of Structures and Institutions in charge of Francophonie in Asia-Pacific (RESIFAP) and training in French for civil servants and Cambodian peacekeepers.

They also exchanged views on the global geopolitical context including the action of Francophonie in Asia-Pacific region.
