In the morning of 16 May 2023, H.E. Dr. CHEM Widhya, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Mr. Petr Gandalovič, Director of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department at the Ministry.

During the courtesy call, H.E. Dr. CHEM Widhya deeply thanked the Czech Republic for the valuable aid and assistance offered to Cambodia over the years and for the selection of Cambodia as one of the 6 partner countries under the Development Program of the Czech Republic, focusing on education, healthcare and environment. H.E. Dr. CHEM Widhya also encouraged partnership in science and technology and on building of 1.5 million CB’s engineers and skilled labour to support the new strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia. Mr. Petr Gandalovič witnessed the rapid economic growth in Cambodia as one of the most dynamic emerging countries in the region. Mr. Petr Gandalovič also congratulated and commended Cambodia on the effort of successfully hosted SEA Games.

In conclusion, both sides noted with satisfaction of the existing good cooperation between the two countries and agreed to work hand in hand to further strengthening and expanding new potential areas for future cooperation.
