On the morning of 30 May 2023, His Excellency Dr CHHIV Yiseang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and National Correspondent of Cambodia to the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF), had a working meeting by videoconference with Mr. Edgar Doerig, Regional Representative of the OIF for Asia-Pacific (REPAP), based in Hanoi.

On this occasion, the two diplomats discussed and exchanged on many subjects, particularly related to: (1) the organization of the 8th meeting of the Network of Structures and Institutions in charge of Francophonie in Asia-Pacific (RESIFAP), (2) the implementation of cooperation projects between REPAP and Cambodia, especially trainings in French for Cambodian civil servants and peacekeepers, (3) the 4th edition of the economic and commercial mission of Francophonie in Lebanon, as well as (4) the preparation of the Forum of French-Speaking Youth in Asia-Pacific in 2024.

His Excellency the Secretary of State welcomed with satisfaction Mr. Doerig's second working visit plan to Cambodia, scheduled for the last quarter of the year. This will be an opportunity to work on the next Ministerial Conference of Francophonie to be held in Cameroon in November 2023 and to strengthen cooperation in Francophonie in the Asia-Pacific region.
