On the morning of 02 June 2023, His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Her Excellency Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

On that occasion, the Ambassador handed over to the Secretary of State the invitation from His Excellency Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba and the current Chair of the G77 plus China extended to Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen to attend the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the G77 plus China on “the Current Challenges of Development: the Role of Science, Technology and Innovation”, which will take place in Havana on 15 and 16 September 2023.

Secretary of State CHUM Sounry congratulated Cuba on assuming the Chairmanship of the G77 plus China and assured the Ambassador of Cambodia’s total support and full cooperation.

Secretary of State CHUM Sounry and Ambassador Liurka Rodríguez Barrios had an exchange of views and discussion on some aspects of the cooperation between the two countries and shared satisfaction with the development of the bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of agriculture, health and sports.
