On the morning of 13 September 2023, His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation cordially received Her Excellency Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

His Excellency Secretary of State and Her Excellency Ambassador underscored the commitment made by His Excellency Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia during a phone discussion on 8 September 2023 to further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries.

His Excellency Secretary of State and Her Excellency Ambassador appreciated with satisfaction the remarkable development in the relationship and cooperation in both the bilateral and multilateral frameworks and discussed the possibility for its further enhancement, especially the holding of the 3rd Bilateral Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
