On 11 October 2023, His Excellency KAN Pharidh, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, cordially received a courtesy call from Mr. TANINAI Ichitomo, Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry.

During the discussions, both sides emphasized the significance of Cambodia-Japan relations which were recently elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They also expressed deep appreciation for support offered to each on international platform, especially for candidacies put forward in various organizations. His Excellency KAN Pharidh further expressed sincere thanks to Japan for the work as the penholder of the Draft Resolution on Advisory Services and Technical Assistance for Cambodia, and both sides look forward to furthering fruitful cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
