On 12 October 2023, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a productive dialogue with Mr. Joseph Scheuer, UN Resident Coordinator to Cambodia, during the latter’s courtesy at the Ministry.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister recalled the fruitful meeting between Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and His Excellency António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, and highly appreciated the support and contribution by the UN team towards Cambodia’s development process, especially during COVID-19 Pandemic. He also reiterated the Royal Government of Cambodia’s strong commitment to contributing to international peacekeeping and affirmed willingness to expand Cambodia’s PKOs to other new missions.
