On 31 October 2023, Cambodia hosted the 5th Meeting of the Cambodia-Korea Joint Commission (JC) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The meeting was co-chaired by Her Excellency TUOT Panha, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Chang Ho-jin, First Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK).

The meeting reviewed the accomplishments and discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields including politics, trade and investment, infrastructure, agriculture, labor, rural development, health, human resources development, and people-to-people exchanges, among others.  

The meeting also discussed the regional and international cooperation of mutual interests under the frameworks of ASEAN-ROK, Mekong-ROK, and the United Nations, as well as the situation in the Korean Peninsula.
