On 8 November 2023, His Excellency Chheang Thyra, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Federal Republic of Germany, attended a luncheon at the residence of His Excellency Marian Jakubocy, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany, also joined by ambassadors accredited to Slovakia with their residences in Berlin. 

Taking the opportunity, His Excellency Chheang Thyra extended his sincere congratulations to His Excellency the Ambassador of Slovakia on the successful Slovak parliamentary elections and the swift formation of the new tripartite coalition government. He also presented congratulatory letters from Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea, addressed to His Excellency Robert Fico, Prime Minister, and His Excellency Juraj Blanár, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, respectively. 

His Excellency Chheang Thyra also participated in another event organized on that same date by the Foreign Council on Economic Relations at the German Parliament (Bundestag) to welcome new ambassadors. 

During the event, His Excellency Ambassador encouraged German investors, individuals, and companies to explore opportunities for even closer collaboration in Cambodia, particularly in key sectors such as technology transfer, sustainable development, and skills exchange. His Excellency also assured the German investors, “I am here to offer my support to all German investors seeking to invest in Cambodia.”
