On 3 December 2023, His Excellency Dr. CHEUNBORAN Chanborey, Cambodian Ambassador to Australia, and his spouse attended a fund-raising gala dinner in support of a mural art project in Cabramatta, Sydney. The project has been initiated by the Cambodian Living Arts and Culture of New South Wales and is expected to be completed in early January 2024. It will be the first painting of its kind in Australia which will further promote Cambodia's cultural visibility, Australia’s multicultural landscape, and the symbol of enhanced Cambodia-Australia friendship.

The gala dinner was joined by around 250 people from the Cambodian community in Sydney and noticeably by the Mayor of Fairfield, Mr. Frank Carbone, and Ms. Dai Le, Member of Federal Parliament for Fowler.
