On 19 January 2024, His Excellency KEO Chhea, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United States of America, accompanied by the embassy diplomats, met with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, from the Democratic Party, during the working visit to the State of Minnesota.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and promoting cooperation in the areas of trade, heath, education and the possibility of establishing a sister city relation between the State of Minnesota and a province of Cambodia, as well as the importance and participation of Cambodian Community in Minnesota.
