On 12 February 2024, His Excellency LUY David, Ambassador of Cambodia to France, showcased Khmer cuisine to distinguished guests by hosting a dinner at his residence for H.E. Hadrien Ghomi, Member of Parliament for the Seine-et-Marne department and Vice-President of the Cambodia-France Friendship Group at the National Assembly, along with the Governors of Bussy Saint Georges, Lognes, Noisiel, and Croissy-Beaubourg.
The event, featuring a tasting of Khmer dishes, aimed not only to promote "The Taste of Angkor," a cookbook celebrated as the Best Asian Cuisine Book at the 2021 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Paris, but also to strengthen connections with officials in Seine-et-Marne, a region with a significant Cambodian diaspora in Île-de-France.
