On 15 February 2024, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea bestowed the prestigious Royal Order of Sahametrei, Grand Officer to the outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia, Her Excellency Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, as a token of appreciation for and in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the strengthening of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Cuba during her tenure.

Expressing his high appreciation, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea underscored the continued growing momentums between the two countries and recalled the historic milestone of exchange of visits by the Leaders of both nations in recent years. He also commended the bilateral ties across various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, trade, investment, and sports.
