On 19 February 2024, His Excellency Dr. CHHIV Yiseang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by His Excellency Alan Bowman, Global Affairs Canada’s Director General for Southeast Asia and Oceania, at the Ministry. On this occasion, both sides had a cordial and fruitful discussion on numerous sectors of cooperation between the two countries in the bilateral and multilateral framework, in particular in the Francophonie, the promotion of Francophonie values in Cambodia and in the Asia-Pacific region as well as Cambodia's candidacy to host the Francophonie Summit in 2026.
