On 22 February 2024, at the National Assembly Palace, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, accompanied by leaders and senior officials of the Ministry, held a working discussion with the Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Information and Media (the 5th Commission) of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia led by His Excellency Sous Yara, Chairperson of the Commission. Representatives of the National Assembly’s different commissions were also in attendant. 

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister briefed the 5th Commission on the current regional and international situation and its impact on Cambodia and highlighted the implementation of foreign policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy and some main achievements in foreign affairs and international cooperation during the 6 months period since the current government took office on 22 August 2023.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and the 5th Commission also exchanged views on strengthening relations and cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the National Assembly as well as the 5th Commission.
