On 13 March 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by His Excellency NKUBITO Manzi Bakuramutsa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the Kingdom of Cambodia with Residence in Seoul.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and His Excellency the Ambassador noted with satisfaction the friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Rwanda since the two countries established diplomatic relations on 29 September 2005. During the conversation, both sides expressed their commitment to further promoting partnership as well as mutual support in the international arenas for the mutual benefits of the two countries. His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed strong hope that during His Excellency Nkubito Manzi Bakuramutsa’s tenure as Ambassador to Cambodia, he will continue to deepen and strengthen the ties of friendship between the two countries.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and His Excellency the Ambassador also considered setting up a political consultation mechanism between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs which will be serving as a platform in exploring ways and means to foster cooperation between both nations.
