On 13 March 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a fruitful discussion with Her Excellency Jutta Urpilainen, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, during the latter’s visit to Cambodia from 12 to 13 March 2024 at the Ministry. 

His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea and Her Excellency Jutta Urpilainen expressed their satisfaction with the long-standing relations and highly valued the growing cooperation in almost all sectors.

His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea congratulated the EU for the successful hosting of the 24th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting and the 3rd European Union Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum on 1-2 February 2024 in Brussels. 

His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea and Her Excellency Jutta Urpilainen affirmed their commitment to maintaining the existing good relations and to supporting each other on the global stage. 

Both sides also exchanged views on political development in Cambodia as well as other important topics of regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
