On 7 June 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, congratulated His Excellency Mohammed Abdul Hye, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Bangkok, on the completion of his diplomatic tenure in the Kingdom, during the latter’s farewell’s call at the Ministry.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister recalled the official visit of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, then Prime Minister, to Bangladesh in 2014 and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official visit to Cambodia in 2017, which have further strengthened our bilateral ties and close cooperation. 

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for His Excellency Ambassador’s dedications in promoting bilateral relations and close cooperation between Cambodia and Bangladesh. 

In addition to bilateral cooperation, both sides also exchanged views on the current regional and international developments in the region and beyond.
