On the afternoon of 18 July 2024, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia received Mr. Andrew Herrup, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the United States of America in Phnom Penh, at the Ministry.

The Meeting discussed potential cooperation areas under the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and priorities as Cambodia will resume the role of country coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue Relation (2024-2027) after the ASEAN Post Ministerial Conference with the United States on 26 July 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interests and concerns.
