On the afternoon of 22 August 2024, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, had a bilateral meeting with Her Excellency Michelle Chan, Deputy Secretary and Australia's ASEAN, East Asia Summit and ASEAN Regional Forum Senior Official, in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. 

The Meeting discussed potential cooperation areas under ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations as well as the positive progress of bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Australia, particularly in the area of education. Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interests and concerns.
