On the morning of 6 September 2024, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, received a courtesy call by Mr. NAGASE Kensuke, newly appointed Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan to Cambodia, at the Ministry.

His Excellency KUNG Phoak congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to Mr. NAGASE Kensuke on the occasion of his new appointment as the Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan to Cambodia. In response, Mr. NAGASE Kensuke expressed his deep gratitude to His Excellency Secretary of State for receiving the courtesy call and his warm wishes. 

Both sides discussed potential cooperation areas under ASEAN-Japan Dialogue Relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interests and concerns.
