His Excellency KHUON Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended the Second Bilateral Consultations between Cambodia and the United Kingdom, held on 07-08 November 2024, in London, hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and His Excellency Dominic Williams, British Ambassador to Cambodia.
On the side line of this bilateral consultation, Cambodian deletation visited the World Travel Market, where the Cambodia Tourism Board showcased the Kingdom’s top tourist destinations and new tourism potential.
Thereafter, Cambodian Delegation held a meeting with Professor Colin Bailey, President and Principal of Queen Mary University of London, to explore potential avenues for educational cooperation and met with Cambodian students studying at the university. Later, the delegation toured the Crisis Centre, a specialized unit that expertly manages international emergencies impacting British citizens and interests worldwide, providing a first-hand look at the UK’s advanced crisis response systems.
His Excellency KHUON Phon Rattanak was also invited to attend the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Cambodia's Ministry of Economy and Finance and the UK Export Credits Guarantee Department of the United Kingdom. This crucial agreement aims to support Cambodia’s sustainable infrastructure development and guide the nation toward its LDC graduation goal in 2029.
