On 19 November 2024, His Excellency Mr. Khuon Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, engaged in a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Felipe DE MORENA CASADO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to the Kingdom of Cambodia with resident in Bangkok, Thailand.
Both sides noted with deep satisfaction the traditional relations and good cooperation between the two Kingdoms and discussed ways to elevate further bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and other spheres of mutual interest.
His Excellency Secretary of State expressed sincere appreciation to the Spanish government for its valuable assistance to Cambodia, particularly the support to the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. He took the opportunity to convey Cambodia’s deepest condolences to the Spanish government and people for the recent devastating flooding in the Valencia region.
His Excellency the Ambassador congratulated Cambodia on hosting the upcoming Siem Reap-Angkor Summit on a Mine-Free World and commended Cambodia’s contributions to UN peacekeeping missions. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to promoting two-way trade and investment between the two countries.
Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concerns.
