Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Kingdom conducts a working visit to Edinburgh, Scotland


From 27 to 28 November 2024, Her Excellency Tuot Panha, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, along with fellow Ambassadors from the ASEAN London Committee (ALC), conducted a working visit to Edinburgh, Scotland.

During the visit, the ALC delegation paid a courtesy call on the Honourable John Swinney, First Minister of Scotland, and His Excellency Graeme Dey, Minister for Higher and Further Education and Minister for Veterans. Both sides engaged in productive discussions on enhancing cooperation in key areas such as higher education, renewable energy, and trade and investment. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to strengthening ties between ASEAN and Scotland, fostering new opportunities for the people and economies of both regions.

In addition, the delegation met with representatives from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and visited the University of Dundee in Dundee, focusing on fostering academic exchanges, research collaborations, university partnerships, and scholarship programmes. The ALC delegation also toured the Energy Transition Zone Wind Campus in Aberdeen to explore Scotland’s expertise and innovation in renewable energy.
