On 2 December 2024, His Excellency Kan Pharidh, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Ms. Shan Li, Deputy General Secretary of the Future Smile Charitable Foundation, at the ministry.

During the meeting, Ms. Shan Li outlined the Foundation’s action plans, which focus on education health and social cooperation between Cambodia and China through providing medical equipment and offering free medical services to Cambodian children. Ms. Li also stated that in 2021, the organization donated four ambulances to Cambodia during the COVID-19 pandemic, all with the overarching aim of enhancing social welfare and strengthening people-to-people ties. In response, His Excellency the Secretary of State expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s efforts and provided guidance on procedures for paying customs duties and on priority activities to further align with Cambodia’s development goals.
