On 4 December 2024, His Excellency Dr. Un Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, made a working visit to China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) in Beijing.

On the occasion of the visit, His Excellency the Secretary of State signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) and CIIS represented by its President, Ambassador Chen Bo.

H.E. Un Kheang also made a presentation entitled “Cambodia’s role in ASEAN,” attended by leaders and researchers of CIIS. H.E. Un Kheang and NIDIR delegates also held a working lunch with President Bo and CIIS’s leadership team during which the two sides exchanged views on the trajectory of research fields in international relations, global geopolitics, China-US relations, and China-Cambodia relations.  The two sides also discussed future cooperation between NIDIR and CIIS in the areas of research, publication, and exchanges of researchers.
