On 24 January 2025, His Excellency Meas Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Mr. Kensuke NAGASE, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia, at the Ministry.

The meeting focused mainly on the framework of the Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for the Palestinian Development (CEAPAD). During the meeting, Mr. Kensuke NAGASE informed His Excellency Secretary of State of the planned visit of the Palestinian delegation to Cambodia at the end of February to learn about peacebuilding, national development, and the operations of the Special Economic Zones in Cambodia.

His Excellency Secretary of State Meas Kim Heng thanked the Japanese Government for inviting Cambodia to become a member of CEAPAD and informed about Cambodia’s readiness to share its experiences with the Palestinian delegation on peacebuilding, peacekeeping, and national reconstruction and rehabilitation of Cambodia after nearly three decades of war.
