On 30 January 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Chhea Keo, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the United Nations (UN), attended the Ambassadorial-Level Peacebuilding Commission 19th session of the Organizational Committee to adopt the 2024 outcome report of the Commission and to elect its new leadership of the Commission.
As a result, the meeting unanimously adopted the 2024 outcome report and elected Germany as the new Chair of the Commission, with Japan, Poland, and Morocco serving as Vice Chairs.
In his statement, Ambassador Chhea Keo expressed Cambodia’s appreciation to Brazil for its dedicated leadership as Chair in 2024. He reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to collaborating closely with the Commission under Germany’s leadership to advance the shared vision of a peaceful and prosperous world.
