On 21 April 2025, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Sean K. O’Niell, Senior Bureau Official for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, at the margins of the 37th ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue in Siem Reap, Cambodia. 

The Meeting discussed potential cooperation areas under the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and priorities as Cambodia has resumed the role of country coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue Relations (2024-2027). Taking this opportunity, both sides also exchanged views on Cambodia-U.S. bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common interests and concerns.
