On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as the guest of honour, delivered a toast remarks at the reception to celebrate Russia’s Day on the evening of 11 June 2025 at Sofitel Phnom Penh.

Her Excellency Acting Minister highlighted the rich culture and captivating histories of Cambodia and Russia, which are the common values of the two countries in advancing social development, including through the promotion of cultural expression, science, technology and diplomacy. Her Excellency Acting Minister also highlighted the growing cooperation between Cambodia and Russia in bilateral and multilateral frameworks across a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, scientific collaboration, cultural exchange, defense cooperation, and tourism. 

Russia’s Day is celebrated annually on 12 June, to mark the establishment of the Russian Federation. The reception was hosted by His Excellency Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cambodia, and attended by Cambodian dignitaries and foreign diplomats in Cambodia.
