On 10 June 2025, His Excellency Mr. Meas Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Cambodia’s SOM Leader for Mekong Cooperation, attended the Mekong-US Partnership's Senior Official Meeting (MUSP SOM) in Penang, Malaysia.

The Meeting reviewed the progress of the MUSP cooperation and discussed its future direction. It also prioritized strengthening collaboration in areas such as economic connectivity, food security, water management, human resource development, transboundary issues, and transnational crime.

His Excellency the Secretary of State highly appreciated the progress achieved under the MUSP Cooperation and shared Cambodia’s priorities for the MUSP Framework. These include strengthening partnerships across the key areas of cooperation outlined in the MUSP Plan of Action 2024–2026, and promoting complementarity and synergy with other Mekong cooperation frameworks.
