On the morning of 19 June 2025, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by His Excellency Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Cambodia with the Residence in Bangkok, after he had presented the Letter of Credence to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

During the courtesy call, Her Excellency EAT Sophea congratulated His Excellency Faiyaz Murshid Kazi on his appointment as the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Cambodia. She expressed satisfaction with the good relationship between the two countries and discussed with the Ambassador on the plan to convene the Foreign Office Consultations between the two ministries to further enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, tourism, education, and defense for the mutual benefits of both countries.
