On the afternoon   of 15 July 2025, His Excellency Dr. Khy Sovanratana, Secretary of State, presided over the closing ceremony of a training course on “Culinary Diplomacy”, organized by the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR), for 21 trainees, including leaders, spouses of leaders and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

His Excellency the Secretary of State emphasized that culinary diplomacy is an important component of the economic diplomacy strategy. Organizing training courses on culinary diplomacy is both significant and necessary—not only for providing diplomats with the knowledge required to enhance their diplomatic careers, but also for equipping them with basic culinary skills and techniques for presenting the Khmer cuisine, thereby promoting national identity, culture, and traditions on the international stage.
