His Excellency Meas Kim Heng leads a delegation of 43 Cambodian Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (FNGOs) on a field visit to the camps of displaced people

On  11 August  2025, His Excellency Meas Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, led a delegation of 43 Cambodian Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (FNGOs), comprising a total of 73 participants, on a field visit to the camps of displaced people in Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province, and Srey Snam District, Siem Reap Province.

During the visit, the FNGOs representatives were impressed by the people’s desire for peace and stability, as well as their concerns about unexploded ordnance in their villages and the effects of the war. From their conversations with the displaced people, many of the FNGOs representatives felt that Cambodia was not the party that initiated the conflict with Thailand.

His Excellency the Secretary of State also handed over donations to the displaced people, comprising a total of 11 tons of rice—of which 3 tons were contributed by the Cambodian Embassy in Japan and Cambodian citizens residing there—along with food items, such as canned fish, dried fish, sausages, bottled water, instant Khmer noodles, fish sauce, soy sauce, mosquito nets, blankets, scarves, and various medicines, most of which were provided by the FNGOs.
