On the morning of 12 August 2025, His Excellency Dr. KHY Sovanratana, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA.IC), presided over the opening ceremony of the Training Course on Diplomatic Tradecraft and Protocol, co-organized by the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) and the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh. In attendance were His Excellency Mr. CHEUY Vichet, President of the NIDIR, and Ms. Bridget Collier, Deputy Head of Mission of the Australian Embassy.

The course was delivered by Her Excellency Ms. Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, with the objective of strengthening the professional knowledge, practical skills, and overall competencies in diplomatic tradecraft and protocol for Cambodian government officials, with the participation of 44 officials from eight ministries of Cambodia, including 22 officials from the MFA.IC.
