On the morning of 15 August,2025, Her Excellency Eat Sophea, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with His Excellency Régis Savioz, Regional Director for the Asia-Pacific of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the Head Office of the Foreign Ministry. The two sides discussed efforts of the ICRC  in protecting the rights of prisoners of war and displaced people in armed conflicts, promoting respect for the international humanitarian law, and the humanitarian activities of the ICRC in Cambodia. Her Excellency Eat Sophea expressed deep appreciation for the ICRC’s humanitarian activities in  Cambodia since 1979.
