Following up on the field visit to displaced person camps in Oddar Meanchey and Siem Reap provinces, His Excellency KAN Pharidh, Secretary of State of the MFAIC, held a discussion with Mr. Sardar Umar Alam, Acting UN Resident Coordinator, and Mr. Bryan Fornari, Head of Cooperation at the European Delegation to Cambodia, on 15 August 2025 at MFAIC. During the meeting, His Excellency the Secretary of State briefed them on the situation at the Cambodian-Thai border following the ceasefire agreement.

Both sides exchanged views on preparing various cooperation and support mechanisms to assist the Cambodian people affected by the recent clashes on the Cambodia-Thailand border. They also discussed initiatives for a "build back better" socio-economic recovery.
