On 15 August 2025, a working lunch was held between His Excellency Mr. SUN Sovanna, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Mr. Fabrice ÉTIENNE, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of France in Phnom Penh.

During the meeting, H.E. the Secretary of State delivered a detailed briefing on the situation along the Cambodia–Thailand border, following the signing of the Ceasefire Agreement, with the aim of sharing the latest developments and ongoing efforts to preserve peace and stability in the region.

Both parties exchanged views on the significant progress in bilateral relations and explored shared perspectives to deepen and expand the priority areas of cooperation between the two nations.
