On the afternoon of 18 August 2025, Her Excellency Dr. Sam Ath Sambath Sreysour, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by His Excellency Faiyaz Murshid Kazi,  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Bangkok, at the Ministry.

During the meeting, Her Excellency provided a briefing on the recent developments regarding the Cambodia-Thailand border situation following the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement. The two sides exchanged views on the plan to convene the Foreign Office Consultations between the two ministries and explored potential areas of  cooperation, including trade, investment, and tourism, with a focus on promoting mutual benefits for both countries.
