On the morning of 20 August 2025, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call from Mr. Enrico Gaveglia, the newly appointed United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative to the Kingdom of Cambodia, who presented his Letter of Credence.

Mr. Enrico Gaveglia highly commended the efforts of the Royal Government of Cambodia in promoting development across all sectors and reaffirmed UNDP’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Cambodian line ministries to achieve sustainable development goals.

In response, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister warmly welcomed and extended congratulations to Mr. Enrico Gaveglia on his appointment as the new UNDP Resident Representative to Cambodia. His Excellency underscored the Royal Government’s appreciation for UNDP’s contributions over the past five decades to Cambodia’s nation-building, including support in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, demining operations, and environmental and socio-economic development.
