On 21 August 2025, during the 10th FEALAC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State and Head of Delegation of Cambodia, held a pull-aside meeting with His Excellency Pablo Arriarian, Ambassador of Chile to China and Head of the Chilean Delegation.

During the discussion, both sides highlighted the long-standing relations and friendship between Cambodia and Chile over the past three decades, marked by cooperation in trade, tourism, and political engagement. They recalled the consultation mechanism established through the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year, and expressed the shared interest in convening the first round of consultations in 2026.
