His Excellency CHUM Sounry pays a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia


On 22 August 2025, on the margins of the 10th FEALAC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Ulaanbaatar, His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State and High Representative of Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Battsetseg Batmunkh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and co-Chair of the meeting. Her Excellency conveyed warm regards to Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn and expressed hope for a possible meeting between the two Foreign Ministers at the 80th UN General Assembly in New York.

His Excellency Sounry commended Mongolia for successfully hosting the meeting with the Dominican Republic, resulting in the adoption of the Ulaanbaatar Declaration, which charts a vision for stronger interregional partnership and cooperation. 

He reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, tourism, and political dialogue. The two heads of delegation shared the view to convene the 2nd Bilateral Consultation between their Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Mongolia in 2026 and to hold it regularly every two years. They also discussed boosting tourism, including promoting Buddhist visitors to Cambodia and explored opportunities for broader ASEAN cooperation.
