On the morning of 27 August 2025, His Excellency PHIN Vicheawadhana, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Her Excellency Milena Caridad Zaldivar Piedra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry.

Both sides highlighted the enduring friendship between Cambodia and Cuba, noting that 2025 marks the 65th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. The meeting also touched on the expansion of bilateral cooperation, particularly the continued functioning of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Cuba and the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Cambodia, in line with the Reciprocal Exemption Agreement between the two Governments.
