On 16 October 2025, during the 19th Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda, His Excellency KE Sovann, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, granted an interview to Ugandan media.

During the interview, His Excellency​ the Under-Secretary of State shared his assessment of the meeting’s outcomes, emphasizing that despite differing positions on certain issues, NAM Member States remain united in their commitment to the founding principles of the Bandung Conference.

He further stressed the importance of resolving territorial disputes among NAM Member States through peaceful means and diplomatic dialogue, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law.
