On the afternoon of 17 November 2025, H.E. Kan Pharidh, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received H.E. Christian DesRoches, Ambassador of Canada to Cambodia, to exchange views on several key topics, including the strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Canada; cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the United Nations; Cambodia’s preparations for hosting the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026; and briefing on the recent incursion by Thai armed forces into Cambodia’s sovereign territory.
