H.E. Mr. Chum Sounry, Cambodian Ambassador to the United States, met with US Congressman Sean Duffy


On June 20, 2019 at the Capitol Hill, H.E. Mr. Chum Sounry, Cambodian Ambassador to the United States, met with US Congressman Sean Duffy, main sponsor of H. R. 2097 "Legacies of War Recognition and Unexploded Ordnance Removal Act" authorizing US assistance to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to support activities relating to clearance of unexploded ordnance and explosive remnants of war.

During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed appreciation to the Congressman in sponsoring the Bill and they discussed the development of the Cambodia-US relations in the fields of mine clearance and POW/MIA.

\r\n

After that, the Ambassador attended the 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting of the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia and delivered a remark highlighting the excellent cooperation provided by Cambodia to US in seeking the remains of Americans missing in Cambodia.
